Individual was hired under contract to provide photographic services for my daughter's wedding. The contract was to include a number of wedding items, i.e., 250+ 4x6 professionally processed photos, in print and on copyright-free CD; 20 page custom wedding album, all prints on archival quality Kodak Pro Paper; online gallery of wedding photos for 5 months. The contract price was $800; $400 was paid at the contract signing, with the balance of $400 due on the wedding day. According to the contract's completion schedule: "Film developing and CD creation takes approximately two weeks..."

Photographer arrived at my daughter's wedding and took the photos, per our contract. I paid him the balance due two days later, on Monday, following the Saturday wedding. However, he did not deliver any of the specific items mentioned above: no CD of photos, no photo album, no online gallery. NOTHING! About two weeks after the wedding, I spoke with him about the online gallery. Over a two month period of time, I had face-to face conversations with him, communicated with him via text messages, tried to reach him by cell phone, left messages.

In all of the photographer's responses, he would say that he was going to deliver this and that by a certain date. However, he never delivered any of the contracted items in the selected wedding package. To rectify the situation, almost three months after my daughter's wedding, I filed a Civil Suit in Small Claims Court and was awarded $893; $800 for the contract price, plus $93 for court related costs. Needless to say, I would have much rather had the photos of my daughter's wedding. At this point, I am in the process of filing court forms to collect the award entered in my favor by the District Court of Maryland.
