Williams comfort air Liars who price gouge Indianapolis Indiana

I recently turned on my AC and then I noticed water underneath my furnace. I called what I thought was a reputable heating  and cooling contractor to come out. They told me that it was frozen up and was leaking because it was low on refrigerant. The technician recommended that a salesman come out and quote me new equipment. I agreed because it was free. By the way, my ac is only 5 years old. The salesman came out and immediately went into a sales pitch about how his company is the best and they do the best work. He immediately went into bashing my equipment and said it was wise to get rid of it. He also noticed that I have been using another company to service my equipment and that is was their fault it malfunctioned.

What I didn't tell him was the people that owned the house before me used that company. He then went on to even bash that company and how bad they are and how much he doesn't like them. At this point I felt that something was off and something didn't seem right. I felt like I was being misled and a new AC was being pushed on me. I refused to replace the equipment at that time only because of the way I felt about that salesman. The salesman was very aggressive and didn't want to leave without getting a yes. So just for giggles, I called the company on the sticker and had them come out.

While that company was on the way I went online to review the the aggressive salesman's company and I was surprised to find out that the one thing he told me was he was local and has been for quite some time. I soonfound out that he was not and recently his company was bought by a bigger conglomerate called defender direct that is NOT a local company. I was also quoted equipment when the salesman was here and it was Trane. The door bell rang and it was the company on the sticker. Very polite, professional, outlined his visit, and expressed there was no obligation to buy. He then went downstairs to look at equipment and surprisingly found out that my filter was dirty and that was causing my AC to freeze up.

He removed the filter and we put in a new one from the garage. Why didn't the first technician find this out when he was here. He said that was possibly the problem from the get go and that if it was I shouldn't replace a 5 year old AC that may still have a warranty on It. I asked him what type of equipment he sold and he said Trane. I asked him to give me a quoted on what the other company offered and without showing him the price ofwhat I was already quoted he was 1500.00 dollars less. I strongly recommend to never use Williams comfort air. I am a single parent on a budget and I felt that I was almost taken. By the way, my AC is working great and I signed up with the second company and I have never been happier and when the time comes I will deal with them
