Willmore Outfitters Ryan Kohler & Kipp Kelly Failed to correctly judge a legal bighorn ram Edmonton Alberta

***ALERT ALERT ALERT***DO NOT HUNT WITH WILLMORE OUTFITTERS, AB, CANADA OPERATED BY RYAN KOHLER & GUIDED BY KIPP KELLY!

My $30,000+ bighorn sheep hunt took place Oct. 3-15, 2017 with Willmore Outfitters, AB, Canada.  Ryan Kohler bought the outfit business and the 6 Willmore Park bighorn tags from Kipp Kelly.  My guide Cody and I were looking at a mature bighorn ram on an Alberta sheep hunt the day of Thursday Oct 12th.  We were very close and Cody couldn't make the call if the ram was legal to shoot or not legal.  Cody said quot "I wish Kipp or Billy were here to look at this ram" to judge it.  Cody stated then that he was legally blind in his right eye and he needed Kipp to get in there the next day and judge the ram. Kipp never made an effort to go look at that ram, only excuses.  That surely didn't make me feel any better.  Furthermore, why do I have a guide that can't judge a ram on a $30k hunt?  [Kipp Kelly runs the guide business and grew up hunting rams for 25+ years.  Kipp took over the businees after his dad passed away and recently sold the 6 ram tags to Ryan Kohler.]  Cody took pictures of that ram through his spotting scope.  Back at camp that night, Cody showed the pics to Bugs, the other guide.  Bugs said we should of shot the ram as it looked legal to him.  Just imagine how that made me feel.  This was day 10 of the hunt for me and time was running out.  Of all the rams we seen to date, this was the only one that would of qualified as a legal 4/5 curl ram to shoot.

The plan was to move to a different spike camp on Friday Oct 13, but that same Thursday Oct 12, the other hunter Bob, killed his ram. It was in a band we all seen the day before.  I was told that Oct 15th was a hunt day by Kipp Kelly, not a pack out day.  Since Bob tagged out on Thursday Oct 12th, the guides wanted to quit and we headed out a day early.  Again, on a $30k hunt!  ***Kipp knew I got screwed by his guide Cody and told me he owed me another hunt on the drive to town on the night of Sunday Oct 15.  He lied to me then, because after I got home he wanted $32k to come back. I have text messages!!!

I was lied to and cheated by Ryan Kohler, Kipp Kelly and my guide Cody!  When I booked my hunt, Ryan told me I could bring a friend that could stay at base camp.  On our way to my Alberta sheep hunt from a BC moose hunt via truck, I learned that Ryan closed the base camp and didn't notify me.  My friend had to get a flight back home, which was more money.  I lost 2 days hunting as my hunt was to start on Oct 1.  Also, Ryan told me when I booked I could hunt either elk or deer while on my sheep hunt.  Kipp said that wouldn't work.  Kipp took a resident hunter back in there after I left and killed a ram that looked like the one we were judging!  It's the ram Kipp is holding on the web site.  I'm guessing Kipp & Ryan don't read the bible and know what karma is.

I understand that hunts don't always go as planned; especially for those of us that hunt a lot.  These guys took my money, made big mistakes and didn't man up and be accountable!  Myself and others feel that some outfitters & guides are just that way.  They will tell you what you want to hear to take your money and then lie to you.  I'm writing this story so other hunters know what these liars did to me. Liars are thieves and thieves are liars in my eyes!
