November 22, 2010 I place an order for a wand at Abby Willowroots store and pay via Visa card. Shortly after that I emailed Abby to ask about the crystal that she mounts in the wand and she didn't respond to that email so I called her to ask. She says she puts synthetic crystals in the wand. I wasn't interested in a synthetic made from quartz due to the heat restructuring the geometry of the crystal so I asked about buying a crystal somewhere, having it shipped to her and then having her mount that and she said that was fine. So I spent a lot of time shopping around for a crystal of the exact size and found one, paid $47 (rounded to the nearest dollar), had it shipped to her and it arrived the morning of Dec 6th between the hours of 9am and 10am.
On December 7th around 11am I get notified that my wand has been shipped. I thought wow that was fast! About three days later I'm going home to check my mail so it isn't sitting in the door where it could get stolen and it doesn't arrive. Dec 10th at 7pm I get an email from Abby stating that she got the sphere and will be shipping it on the following Monday the 13th. So I contacted her about why I was notified about it being shipped when it wasn't and she explained that she hired someone to help her out as she claimed that her husband died of cancer so she some setbacks. Fine. I didn't mind and I accepted that. So when Monday comes I thinking great, my wand is finally being shipped out and I'll get it soon. I asked her if she's rush ship it seeing I provided there crystal, lessening her expense being that she didn't provide the crystal in the wand and she said sure.
So starting on the 15th I'm checking my mail again to make sure that it isn't sitting in the door where people can steal it. The 17th comes and goes and I still don't see anything in the mail. Expedited shipping would have gotten here by now. So I contact Abby about a tracking number and she claims that she never shipped it. Not only that, she didn't even bother to let me know that she didn't ship it. So here I am wasting my time checking the mail when she never shipped when she said she would and didn't bother to contact me.
At this point I feel quite upset that she's screwing with me. Her husband dies and she needs some time deal with that. Understandable. But she's had my quartz crystal sphere in her possession for the last 13 1/2 days and the order was placed 26 days ago! Abby claimed that she hired someone to help out in this time yet she still can't mount a sphere and ship it in 13 days with help! That doesn't make any sense to me. Her website says "Usually ships with 3 - 4 days".
I don't even know if she's going to ship it on Monday (20th) because she's already made that claim once before and didn't follow through nor update me.
This is frustrating! She has made me waste my time and cost me money over her irresponsibility here. I feel I deserve at least a minimum of 50% discount off the wand for all the crap deception/mistakes/incompetence... whatever you want to call it as a refund to my credit card. Your personal problems should not be made to me mine unless you're going to compensate me for it. How respond you?

Of course it's unbelievable. That's because you don't believe you do anything wrong to your customers and not screw them over.

Being that you claimed to have hired help there's no reason why I couldn't have been notified of a change in plans. According to you your husband died 5 days before you said you would ship it. You had plenty of time to mount the crystal and ship it as promised. You could have done one or the other but you did neither. Being that you run a business that's called irresponsibility and cost me. So you just decide to blow all of your customers because you can't be bothered to be responsible?
I'm sure every company has satisfied customers but that does not make you a saint incapable of making a mistake or screwing over a customer like you did me. That logic doesn't fly, unfortunately.
I went to your website and in the search engine I typed "28 days" and nothing came up so apparently you're making stuff up again. You never mentioned anything whatsoever about "28 days" regarding anything at all so I have no idea what you're talking about. Your website says allow 2 - 3 weeks for delivery and its been way beyond 3 weeks.
It is the Christmas season. You told me that your business picks up during Christmas and told me if I get the crystal shipped to you before business picks up then you could do it in a short time. I crystal arrived at your location a week before you said your business picks up and because you told me that would send it out the following Monday. The day that you completely blew me off and never sent the wand or notified me that you didn't. So here I am a second time keeping an eye on the mail so no one steal my mail for nothing wasting my time and you can't even so much as apologize for that.
I wrote you and told you that I would file a report if you did not resolve this huge problem with your dishonesty. I couldn't even believe that you were going to send out the wand the following Monday because you were already lied to me about that and you're not even remotely sorry for that. Do you even have a conscience? All you can do make arguments and try to get revenge. You succeeded at villinizing your own business because it's a customer's right to make complaints about bad business practices and resolving problems.
Now I'm going to take you to conciliation court to recover the cost of the crystal and the time and money I lost because of you all because you don't have the humility to admit that you're in the wrong here and the phrase "I'm sorry" isn't in your vocabulary.
You can hate me and never want to make me a wand but I would still buy from you because you have the ability to admit to your mistakes, learn from them and grow to inhabit a new way of being which works much better than not.
As a spiritual person for many decades you might be aware of the universal law of equality and that believing that you are better or more important than others to the point that you don't need to be a decent human being is part of the lesson you could learn if you wanted to.
A famous philosopher said, "A fundamental judgment about another is the reflection of one's own state of mind". Being that you accused me of needing to be the center of the universe and needing to learn lessons, all of which you are guilty of, then that is what you need to learn. Your ego is so big that you can't admit that you made a mistake nor can you make up for it. Instead, you ignore the facts of your actions and accuse me of things that are not even true so that you can attempt to take the cowardly way and get out of being responsible for your actions. That's a superiority complex and that is what you've shown me from your actions.
I believe I have a right to feel a little upset when a business whom I pay money to for a product blows me off and wastes my time and on top of that because I'm not giving her the room to screw me over and like it at the same time I'm holding her accountable and because she doesn't like that and can't possibly believe the things I'm making a complaint about is because she either blocks out her actions (which is what psychology calls Mental Filtering) or chooses to ignore them to save face. In any case, Abby Willowroot's actions are indicative of a person with a mental disorder such as NPD. Until she gets help for this I wouldn't trust her.
You wouldn't sell me a crystal because you judged me for fact that I did not treat you in the way that you expected me to. Your husband dies and that doesn't give you an excuse to blow off all of your customers. You seem to feel that I'm just supposed to sit here and be blown off and go "sure, no problem, I can just sit here and check my mail everyday for something that isn't coming and wasting my time and money I could be making" and I'm supposed to be ok with that? Your husband dying is your problem. But you've made it my problem and because your problem cost me money I'm going to take you to court.
Abby, I will be filing a conciliation court case tomorrow morning with you for screwing me over by cauing me to waste my time and playing my head lying and blowing me off, getting revenge and causing me to buy a crystal that you refused to mount and ship when you agreed to do it. How can anyone trust you if you're going to blow off your customers and lie to them and then get revenge on them because they decided to hold your almighty self accountable. Sorry to see that you need to vilinize yourself.

Willowroot Wands has many satisfied and loyal repeat customers for our handmade Magic Wands & Jewelry and have been serving the metaphysical community since 1967.
In response to the Complaint;
A few points Customer got wrong
1.) Our Crystals for the Wand you wanted are NOT Synthetic, they are high quality Lab Grown Quartz
2.) My husband did die on Dec 9th, but he did NOT have Cancer
3.) Buyer did not wait 28 Days for us to do his order, since his Crystal didn't even arrive until Dec 6th, a day before my husband began dying and was admitted to the hospital.4.) Customer was told that this was Christmas, our busiest season, and that I would ship his Wand as soon as I could when he insisted on using his own crystal.
5.) Customer didn't even bother to wait for the New Ship Date before villlifying me in public. It is not me that this report makes look bad, it is the customer.This Customer Rant was quite unbelievable to me. The Customer's entire purchase with sphere has been refunded and the Order Cancelled. Now, I would not make a Magic Wand for this Customer if he was the last person on Earth. It is not my fault that the Customer requested special treatment and handling during Christmas season because he wanted a different crystral (something we normally don't do). I did my best to satisfy this Customer under very difficult circumstances. I can only hope that people consider the source and tone of this Customer's complaint.
