Window Design Group Chris Margott who said he was the owners grandson lied about shutters that we purchased were made of basswood and manufactured in the USA. They are made in China and are MDF material. We only wanted basswood. Simi Valley California

Chris Margott, of Window Design Group advertised on the internet and in the Orange County Register newspaper, gave us a guote for shutters in our home.  We adamently insisted that we wanted basswood shutters and he assured us that they were made of basswood and manufactured locally.  I asked if he would put it in writing that they were basswood and he told me I could look on their website and it would have all that info.  

My husband trusted Chris Margott and chose to give him a check for half the purchase of the shutters. Eight weeks later, we received the junk from China that the installers had to put together. They were nothing like the sample shutter that Chris Margott displayed to us.

This company and Chris Margott are fraudulent and should not remain in business. We are stuck with the garbage until we can purchase basswood shutters from any one of several honest companies that manufacture shutters in California.
