Windsor Employment Agency the $3,950 check scam Brooklyn New York

This company sends you a letter and a check for $3,950 asking you to 'mystery' shop for them and keep the items you purchase and the $300 fee. Meantime you are to wire funds to 1 of 4 names listed on the letter which describes them by name and city and state only.

Luckily I googled some information about the company's name on the check, which is NOT the company wanting to 'hire' you, and I called the bank the check is drawn on and they have received MANY calls on this scam already. They collected some general information from me and I will be faxing them the information I have.

Be careful that you do not fall for a scam like this. Luckily there are legitimate work at home jobs, just search for them carefully on the web. I have worked for two very good work at home companies, neither of which required you to put yourself in a financial risk to work for them.
