Winslow Twp. claimed my water meter was broken and needed to replace it.  They started to charge me the maximum rate which was over $700.00 quarterly. this went on for over 4 years, I paid my estimated bill when due not knowing any better and waited paitiently for some one to come and replace the meter.  No one ever did the truth was it was not broken but the Twp. had no one to read it. You see they got rid of all the meter readers to save money and just wanted to install a meter that could be read by just riding by.  No one ever told me this until I wrote several letters complaining about the high charges.  They have my money and won't give it back for the excess charges.  The water bill I got yester day was for $100.00 what it should have been all alone.  Oh by the way the house us unoccupied 3 months out of the year.  Let me say too that the water is not fit to drink and each quarter they send us a letter to let us know so they won't be sued for not informing us of this.
