This all started with a family membership my husband, my brother and myself joined for Bally's Gym in the summer of 2003. In September 2003, my husband is critically injured (broken neck) in an auto accident. Much of our finances fell behind, broke rental agreement to move in family for help. And my brother is also laid-off at the end of the year.

Well Bally's would not allow me to get out of the contract for medical reasons...I was still healthy. Yeah, who has time to work out when your spouse is going through recovery? Anyways, as of last year, I started to receive collection letters from Wolpoff & Abramson, LLP. I was "served" (note left on my parents door) that they were taking me to court with no date indicated. Then I receive a letter saying a judgement was made against me.

Now I am looking at letter warning me I can be subpoena to a deposition to question you about my assets (checking account numbers, social security numbers, any stock, life insurance, etc). I am uncomfortable with revealing this info to these snakes.

I had paid a few months of $20-$40 money orders, but after I received a call from them that my payments were not enough and the judgment stands, I quit paying.

The amount is for $3356.28 and all I can now make $100/month payments for 2.5 years. But that is not enough for them. What should I do?

Budd Hibbs website recommends finding an attorney at (((link redacted))). Should I do this? Texas is not a "garnishing state", but they can freeze your bank account. But I have not given any financial info, nor do I plan to. Is that okay? Help!!
