January 3rd 2006 the Womens Workout World in Homewood closed by leaving a note attached to the door and telling us to use other locations.

I asked for a refund as the other locations would be inconvenient for me. I was advised by Debbie Dye that the refund of $244.00 would be returned to me. Two weeks later I received a letter from Debbie Dye stating the business was closed and the money was gone therefore no refunds will be given.

The Homewood location held a membership drive in December 05. I recently found out Debbie Dye the owner of the Homewood location has opened two fitness clubs titled Fitness4you in Indiana.

It is clear the Womens Workout World held membership drives knowing they would shut down within weeks. They knowingly deceived us and now have opened up another business with our money.

Womens Workout World Corporate office in Tinley states they are not liable for the Homewood location. There must be some liability here. My contract states Womens Workout World not the franchisee. Hundreds of women have been ripped off by this organization. They must be brought to jusice. Everyday I see their commercial on TV and it is a constant reminder of how I have been ripped off!!! Help!!!!

WWW not affiliated with Fitness for Her

AUTHOR: WWW - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, October 19, 2015

Dear Sharon-

We just discovered your Ripoff complaint dated January 3, 2006. We are completely baffled by your complaint against us as we had no affiliation whatsoever with Fitness for Her located in Homewood, IL and Munster, IN. You stated that you called our office and asked for a refund and was told that we’re not responsible. That is because we do not own or manage or have any affiliation whatsoever with Fitness for Her.

However, we did offer to accept all of their members who were willing to transfer to any of our locations free of charge. Most of their members did. This does not, however, make us responsible for refunding members not willing to transfer. We honored thousands of dollars of their members and serviced those members, many of whom are still members today.

The information you posted is false. A formal complaint is being filed in regards to the false and inaccurate information that is posted on this website.

They Ripped Me Off Too. Shari Whitley and Womens Workout World Hometown

The same thing happened to me at a different location. This chain is closing down so many clubs and how many people are getting ripped off. DO NOT JOIN THIS CLUB.

When you call the club they tell you to call the ofice. When I called the office to speak to the owner lady Shari Whitley I couldnt even get through to anybody.

Now i have to sue these scammers to get my money back.

an idea on what to do

I know that this may be a little out of the way. Talk to some of the other people that have been done wrong at your location. It may be inconvienent but just show up at one of the new locations in indiand and proceed to just walk in and start using the place like you own it. If anyone asks or confronts you tel them youe story that your dues probably paid fo rthe new club and you are going to start using their facilities. If enough people strt coming the owner may be more inclined to give you a refund. Just my $0.02 worth
