During the last week of May 2009, I placed an order with WONDERHANGER.COM over the internet. I ordered two (2) sets of the Wonderhanger bonus sets, at $9.99 per set. I requested expedited shipping, as it takes longer for items to arrive to my residence in Hawaii. The total amount for my order was $58.73. I received a confirmation email stating what items I had ordered and billing costs. I reviewed the email and verified that all information was in fact correct. About a week later, I saw two charges from WONDERHANGER.COM appear on my bank account. One charge was for $58.73 and one charge was for $51.78. I immediately contacted WONDERHANGER.COM at the number that appeared on my bank account, 800-590-3492, and spoke with a representative. I explained what charges I was seeing on my bank account and she looked into her system. She then told me that I had placed two orders and that was the reason that I was being charged twice on my account. I attempted to explain to the representative that I had not placed two orders and that I even only had one confirmation email from WONDERHANGER.COM. The representative was very intolerant and persisted to tell me that I had placed two of the same order, one with expedited shipping and one without. I again tried to explain that there would be no reason for me to place two of the same order and that I did not place two orders, only the one totaling $58.73. I could no longer take her discourteousness, and asked for a phone number or an address to her corporate headquarters so that I could file a formal complaint. I asked that the mysterious order be cancelled and the money refunded back to my account. She informed me that she could not cancel the order because it had already shipped, but that when I received the shipment, I could return it to WONDERHANGER.COM for a refund, minus the postage and handling fees. I told her that was unacceptable since I had never placed the order in the first place. I immediately contacted my bank and was told that I could not dispute the charge until it actually posted to my account, as it was still in a pending state. I received both packages on 10 June 2009, and on 11 June 2009, I took one of the unopened packages to the main post office in Honolulu, Hawaii to have it returned to WONDERHANGER.COM. I explained to the postal clerk what had happened and she informed me that my situation actually happens quite frequently. She stamped the package with a red stamp and hand-wrote some information into the blank lines from the stamp. I asked her if there was some receipt of some sort that I could have to prove that I had returned the package to the sender and she said that she did not have anything to give me because I did not have to pay any fees to send the package back.

I am amazed at the terrible customer service that I received from WONDERHANGER.COM, and even more shocked that they have, by now, received the merchandise back and are still trying to charge me for an order that I never placed. I repeatedly attempted to tell the WONDERHANGER.COM representative that I did not place two orders and then followed their instructions to return the merchandise after I received it. It is obvious that this is some sort of scam, as the charges were never charged until after the merchandise shipped, which was then too late to cancel the order and refund the money that was erroneously charged to my account. I looked at the documentation that was produced by WONDERHANGER.COM, and I noticed that the mystery order looked as if it may have been placed via telephone (I assume that is what the code TELEP) stands for. If that is the case, then WONDERHANGER.COM should be able to produce a telephone conversation of me placing an order. The fact is that they cannot, because I never placed a second order. I wish that I had researched the company prior to giving them my account information.
