Samantha or Sam Woolsey or Crowell, whichever name she is going with nowadays is a scam artist. She claims to be a professional photographer, specifically weddings. She has a track record for location hopping and scamming wedding couples out of their money. She required all of her money up front and bundled in the DJ for a packaged deal. She told me since my wedding was in the middle of July, that during wedding season, her edits may take 8-12 weeks so we should anticipate a long wait for our pictures. First of all, she showed up 45 minutes late to pictures on my wedding day! How unprofessional. By the 13th week, we reached out to her, asking where our photos were, and she said the editor still had them (clearly she doesn't do her own work). Then, as another week goes by (week 14), we reached out again, and she basically said that she has a flash drive being sent to us in the mail. Never received it and week 16 we called her, left a voicemail and she didn't call back. Tried calling later that evening, her phone was disconnected. I went to her social media sight on Facebook and it was down (which means my engagement photos were gone too), her company website was shut down and we drove to her studio in Cameron, MO, it was closed. She literally just disappeared. Now, we are out the money we paid up front (upwards of 3 grand) and she is no where to be found. She literally took the money and ran and I have no wedding pictures to show for my special day that is suppose to be a huge part of my life. She will probably change her name, company name, and location! Please be ware. I am writing this so you don't have to endure the frustration, stress and heartbreak that my husband and I have. Do your research, make sure it is a legitament business. If you look at reviews, do more research. Many reviews can be manufactured from the photographer or her close friends to hide from the bad reviews. She is not a good person and the fact that she won't own up to her actions, says a lot about her character.
