Last evening, my fiance received an unsolicited CELL-phone call from an individual claiming to have gotten his information from an application he filled out online for a credit card. When he asked if they had his social security number, the individual said no. This raised red flags.

The individual offered him an unsecured credit card with a credit limit of $2000. We always talk to each other before we do anything like this, so he asked for a telephone number so he could call them back. All this individual would give him was an internet address (www.worldbenefits.com). This also raised a red flag. The indidual agreed to call him back this evening, after he spoke to me, to see if he was interested. After hanging up, he checked his cell phone's caller ID for the telephone number and the number listed read as follows: 00-1416.

Of course, we both had serious misgivings about this company who couldn't even provide a telephone number. However, we decided to check out the website anyway because we thought it would be nice to consolidate our other credit cards and have some money to buy Christmas presents earlier than expected. So we typed in the address to the website and hit a brick wall... "Website Not Responding". Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.... So I thought I'd do a Google search and find out what I could about the company.

Well, here I am. I'm so sorry to hear that so many people got ripped off by these people. We sincerely wish that all of you who got ripped off can have a happy ending. Please know that by reporting your situation, you have helped at least one person avoid the same headaches you are plagued with. A million thanks to you all and to Rip-off Report.com!!!!
