I got a membership with world health in Calgary last year because they said that they had many gyms around Calgary "100's of affiliate gyms" I just returned to Canada and wasn't sure if I would be transferred to Red Deer so I asked the guy selling me the membership if I ended up moving to Red Deer if they had affiliate gyms there.  He said they had a few to chose from in any town in Alberta, including RED DEER.

Two months later I moved to Red Deer to find out that World Health has NO gyms in Red Deer or within 130km radius of Red Deer.

I ended up paying for 8 months before I called to cancel my membership.

World health then said that even though there are no gyms in Red Deer, (when they said there WAS) I would have to pay the cancellation fee.  I explained that they are not able to provide me with the service that they had promised when I agreed to the membership; therefore, the contract should be no longer applicable and I should be relieved of the membership without consequence. They said it didn't matter whether or not they had a gym in my new hometown...basically "a contract is a contract"  I told them to go F*&% themselves and cancelled my credit card.  

Two months later I received a call from world health saying that they are going to send a third party collection agency after me for $309...so naturally, I told them to go F*&^ themselves.

They were not flexible at all, I called upper management and pleaded my case and they said that I should have had the agreement in writing stating that if no gyms exist where I move then I could cancel.  Unreal!

Seriously, this is a gym membership..did I need my lawyer present??

End of story I just paid the crooks their $300 dollars to get them off my back, forever.

PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE SOULLESS AND GUTLESS SCAM ARTISTS SUPPORT LOCAL PRIVATELY OWNED GYMS, AT LEAST YOU CAN REASON WITH THEM.

THEIR GYMS SUCK ANYWAY
