Do not go to Worlds Of Fun. Save up some money and go the extra miles to get to to Six Flags.

First off, the rides are old and most need to be refurbished. The crew is mostly teenagers who spend more time flirting with each other than actually paying attention to their jobs.

I hadn't been there in a while and a group of friends wanted me to come with them last summer. I thought meybe they had cleaned it up a bit, but I was mistaken. The rails on all the lines were covered, and I mean COVERED, with bubblegum. It was disgusting! I tried not to touch anything.

Our group had time to ride 2 rides and then we were kicked out! We were being louder than most of the other people there, but no one was being obscene or doing anything that they weren't supposed to be doing. We were simply a group of people excited to be out without our children having fun.

We were refused refunds and told we had to leave the property, even though there were still people coming to meet us. We convinced them to at least let the other people with us know what had happened before they paid to come in the park. The park was next to empty, so they would not have a hard time noticing another small group of people wearing orange shirts (we all wore them so we could find each other easier) coming through the 2 open gates.

Well, we went back home and later heard from our friends that they paid the $45 each and walked about 20 feet into the park before they were kicked right back out! The security had been standing there waiting for them to pay before them out. They were also refused refunds. The park made over $500 off of all of us for the use of 2 rides by 6 people!

Don't go to Worlds of Fun, save up a little extra and make the trip to Six Flags in St. Louis.

Amusement Park Manners

AUTHOR: Lisa - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, February 07, 2008

While as a consumer, you may have paid to enter the amusement park, you did not pay to disturb or bother other guests. All guests paid to enjoy the park free from obnoxious guests that find enjoyment in harassing other people. There are children and families in the park and they deserve to enjoy the day, free from people that are blatantly disregarding the rules or the other people around them.

I have season tickets to World's of Fun and Ocean's of Fun and I go to the parks 2-3 times a week during the summer. I have observed numerous parties that have been escorted out of the park, but it was NEVER for being a little loud.

Obviously you and/or someone in your party were breaking one or several of the rules that are posted all throughout the park. They NEVER remove the entire party.... only the individual or individuals that are breaking the rules. This usually consists of unsafe behaviors, line jumping and a general behavior that is disturbing or harassing of the other guests. If your party was being loud and rude to other guests, you should be asked to leave.

The fact that this individual doesn't understand what they did to get kicked out (besides being a little loud) shows that they do not understand how to act appropriately in public, or they are simply being dishonest and not completely forthright with the WHOLE story!

World's of Fun is actually a better facility than Six Flags ST. Louis. The rides are newer and the park is cleaner.

It is also not the job of Worlds of Fun to notify your party that you were kicked out for breaking rules and being obnoxious! It is your job as a friend to the other people to call them and let them know that you let them down and got kicked out for your behavior!

I applaud World's of Fun, security and the management for doing the right thing in enforcing the rules that are posted and making the park a family friendly park! Being a mother of 3 children, I am happy to know that inappropriate behavior and people that don't know what it is to act appropriately and follow the rules will be removed so that my family can enjoy the park and the wonderful rides that they provide!

THANK YOU WORLD'S OF FUN AND OCEAN'S OF FUN! THANK YOU!

AUTHOR: Lee - (U.S.A.)

I was there today as a guest and noticed that their policy does infact state BEFORE you enter the park that there are absolutly NO REFUNDS if you leave the park for any reason (Including getting kicked out).

Ridiculous

AUTHOR: Nate - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 31, 2006

I have never heard of a "noise ordinance" in an amusement park. That is preposterous. It's an amusement park- not a library!

If the employee above is distracted by noise from a boisterous group, I would suggest they seek another profession.

Secondly, you say that they are not entitled to a refund because they may have used the park's facilites. That would be a good point except for one problem: They paid for an entire day (or evening) of park usage. You kicked them out before they were ready to leave on their own. They deserved a refund.

Sounds like quite an exceptional attraction- NOT!

Information given NOT true

AUTHOR: Lee - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 31, 2006

Yes, SOME of the rides are old, but it seems like a new ride is opened every year! I mean, Get real, you cannot tear down every ride at the end of the year and rebuild the park!

The information in the previous report is false! I work full time at worlds of fun as a Rides Ambassador in "Camp Snoopy" and am a frequent visitor (guest) when I am off. I have never noticed any gum on line rails, let alone them being COVERED!

Yes, the person from the previous report may have been kicked out of the park, but this is after realizing that the park's policy is not degrading and throwing out anyone who enters the park, but to remove them from the park if they become a danger or a problem to other guests. "We were being louder than most of the other people there..." I see a problem when people run around the rides and not only disturb the guests, but me as well.

The policy anywhere is to refuse refunds if you are kicked out! Why would the park give the people their money back if they have been in the park, have ridden rides, and possibly played games and used facitlities?!

The price into worlds of fun isn't even close to $45.00! The price to get in is $36.95 without discouts (one of those discounts are $5.00 off that are on pop cans). Last, the math on the $500 is way off. Even if 10 people came in the group that is still $450.00.
