I was charged $900 after talking to Worldwide Who's Who representative on the phone. A month later they called again to "verify information" and after that conversation I found another charge of $715.00 on my credit card. On the phone they said they I qualfied out of thousands of other professionals to get their platinum membership for leadership and achievements in my field. They charged me over 1500 for the membership, however all they provided was three paragraphs with my background information which they wanted to post on their website. The information was completely incorrect as they never bothered to verify anything. There is nothing exclusive in their membership. They sell it to everyone who agrees to pay. I paid for the exclusivity but it does not exist. Moreover, instead of boosting your career, it actually may do a lot of damage as the company is known as international scam. I asked to cancel my membership and am still waiting for the refund. There is no reply to my emails. I advised that I do not allow any information about me to be published and received a confirmation that the press release would not be published. Then I started receiving new emails asking me to approve the press release again, and each time it was from a new employee. When I was charge additional 715 dollars, I immediately called my account manager, but she could not explain why I was charged this amount (!). The company employees have no communication between each other, they randomly charge clients huge amounts and send some random contradicting emails, eventually providing no service and pretending to be an exclusive registry for professional, while, in fact, they are scammers ripping people off and providing no service whatsoever.
