We sincerely apologize for any misimpression that Travis may have about our services and our company. After becoming aware of the above RipOffReport complaint, we were able to locate Travis' account with iFriends. We have cancelled his account and have refunded the charges that were billed to him.

iFriends does not ever send out emails asking for personal or credit card information. A user must visit the iFriends website and enter his or her name, billing address, email address, credit card information, and other personal information to create an account. It is not an automated process the account must be manually created online by a human. Travis created his first iFriends account in 2005. He later cancelled this account. Travis created his second iFriends account in March 2007. When he created this account, he affirmatively chose to enroll in the upgraded iFriends Elite membership. The regular iFriends membership is free, but the Elite membership that Travis chose to access carries a monthly charge. This charge was clearly and conspicuously disclosed in advance, and Travis participated in numerous click-throughs to indicate his acknowledgement and consent to the monthly charge.

Shortly after posting his complaint, Travis contacted our Customer Care Department to request cancellation of his account. The account was cancelled immediately, as he requested. We appreciate Travis contacting us directly to resolve the issue. If Travis has any further questions or concerns, we encourage him to contact us. Our Customer Care Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be reached by calling 1-800-243-9726 (a toll-free call from the US).
