I requested a free trial offer of Wu-Yi weight loss tea in late December '07. As I surfed the Internet later that day I came across negative comments about not necessarily the product, but the company selling it. I called the company the next day to cancel my request altogether, but of course I was told it was already shipped (which it was not). I received the tea a week later, supposedly having 30 days to try it with absolutely no obligation. I turned around and send it back untouched, thinking that was the end of that. I did allow them to charge $6.50 for S&H to my credit card at the time of the original order, so of course that got charged immediately.

I got a delivery confirmation that the tea was returned within a week. Two weeks later I saw a charge on my credit card for $37. Again, I called, but this time could not get a person, so I did an on-line chat with a rep. I asked how is it possible that they posted an unauthorized charge and for what, since the product was immediately returned. There was really no good explanation, but they kept assuring that a credit will be issued. They issue credit every two weeks. I did receive credit for $31.45 (not $37) three weeks later. I thought what a rip-off; I paid $6.50 for S&H from them, return shipping with delivery confirmation $6 and $5.55 for I believe restocking of something that was unopened and was supposed to be a free hundred percent guarantee. So I spent a total of $18.05 on NOTHING.

Anyway, I thought, o.k. I'm an idiot for not checking them out first, so I deserve this, and just be done with it. Except that I was not done... Just Friday, 02/22, a charge posted for $19.95 by IW/LIVING LEAN and at first I had no idea what that was, but it did not take long to find out that I was also made a memeber of an online club for a mere $19.95 a month fee. I did get their phone number from my credit card customer service rep and called there today (866-396-5711). I did get through after a 14-minute hold time and lousy reception since they use telephony, but I did get them to remove me from the subscription (as a courtesy), I will not receive any further charges and I will receive a refund of the $19.95 in two to three business days. I am hoping that this is the end of this "mistake". If not, I will update this complaint.
