W.W. Parking lot inc. Company had my vehicle towed and claimed I made no payment to park even though I did pay. Minneapolis, Minnesota

On March 5th 2011 my party went to minneapolis for a get together.  We parked our vehicle in the 118 N washington parking lot in Minneapolis at approx 7:45pm.  I filled out the parking fee envelope and put $5 in it and put it in the drop box.  We returned at approx 11pm to find our vehicle had been towed.

I was able to get in contact with the towing service (Wrecker Service Inc of Minneapolis) but not the parking lot.  I was forced to py $228 for the release of my vehicle.

On Sunday March 6th I was able to get in contact with the parking comopany.  I explained what had happened and the person denied ever receiving payment and would not offer any refund. 

I realize this is my word against his but I have four other witnesses that were with me who saw me put the money in the envelope.  In addition, I would have no reason to take the risk of getting my vehicle towed over a $5 parking fee, especially since I live more than 2 hours from minneapolis. 

The people I was with were speaking to some bystanders while I was on the phone with the towing company.  They were informed that this parking lot co. is known to have done this before.
