authenticwatchesonsale.com finewatchesonsale.com stole money scam artist! New York, New York

I bought a watch from www.authenticwatchesonline.com and have not received it and am now not getting any response from the company.  I sent $706.00 USD via Western Union to pay for the watch after trying to pay with a credit card but being told they were changing their payment processing to better serve customers and keep prices low.  This made sense since credit cards charge transaction fees, AND because they assured me, when I questioned this method of payment as being a potential scam, that they are insured by www.buysafeonline.org up to $10,000 per transaction.  Since my transaction was for $706.00 and the buysafeonline.org website was legitimate it seemed ok (clearly I am now kicking myself).

Now I have not gotten the watch and when I call the 800 number no one answers.  There is a recording telling you to leave a message but then you cannot; the recording begins all over again.  I have emailed the person, Anna Briggs, with whom I was emailing when I sent the money.  She was very quick with replies during the money collecting part of the transaction, but now I am getting no reply from the company. I have all the emails that went back and forth, where I in fact mentioned my concern that this was a scam on account of being asked to use Western Union.  I have my western union paperwork too, as well as all the emails sent, though this might not do me any good.

I have sent a number of emails, first just asking for the status of my order, then telling them I really want my watch, then letting them know I am going to have to take legal action/recourse as this is looking a lot like theft/fraud.  It is very very simple to email someone, as evidenced by the very fast response time when I was making the purchase. There should be no problem being in touch with me now.  If there was a delay that would be ok, as long as the watch was on the way.

I sent the money to a Wallace Brener.  It was sent in UK pounds because they also claim to have an office in London (it is listed on the website).  All I want is my watch or my money back.  Also, I do not want others to go through this.  This was my birthday present, and now I not only do not have a watch but also seem to have lost $700.
