boatfix.com Unshipped $$$$ order. Dreadful service. , Florida

In July 2009 I placed two orders with this company totaling several thousand dollars.  I received immediate automated responses.  Prior to ordering I made a query regarding shipping via their ticketing system and received a prompt reply.  I replied to their email and received a prompt reply to that one.

Then nothing.  No shipment confirmation.  No attempt to contact me with issues.  I raised another ticket.  I was told they needed a phone registered to the shipping address which was unusual but I provided them an alternate stressing the urgent need to proceed as I am living aboard my boat cruising between destinations.

Still no responses.  No delivery.  No chasing me.  They had my emails.  They had the ticketing system to add comments to.  Nothing to indicate they had tried to do anything.

I raised another ticket telling them to ship or cancel/credit within 24 hours.  No immediate response so I put my two orders into dispute with the credit card company.

A few days later I got a response saying that they had been trying for days to contact the number I gave them and received no answer and that they had my shipment ready to go.  Given the delay and size of order - anyone who ran a half decent business would have contacted me straight away.  In amongst all this I made sevaral calls to their help desk.  Never any answer.  Never.  In response to their last response I gave them yet another number.  A couple of days later this number has not been called.

I have instructed the company to fully credit my two orders.  I am no longer interested in wasting precious time on them.

As far as I know there is only Mike working for this company.  I have looked on line and seen a number of similar complaints.  I also notice some good comments about BoatFix but they seem to come in bursts - usually after a complaint has been published.  You make your own mind up who's writing those positive messages.

This company may be the cheapest but they are certainly the worst.

If you don't mind running the risk of having a similar experience to myself and all the others ripped of by this either bogus or zero service company then go ahead, try them.
