Because this post was recently updated, I wanted to add some additional information as well. As of mid-2008, Moving Labor Services has no association with Dan Cunningham, or his family. The company was sold by Dan's former partner, has no ties to Mr. Cunningham, and offers reputable service to thousands of satisfied customers.

I am an ex-employee of PlaylandDoctors.com. This is one of the companies that Daniel Cunningham Jr. owns besides the moving companies. I don't even know where to begin, but I will try to be as short as I can. I was hired back a few months ago with a starting salary of $125 a day. A few weeks later, he gave me $1000 to use my truck for the month. That included $700 for the truck payment, $100 for the insurance, and $200 that HE GAVE ME EXTRA. I never asked for money. He gave it to me! I was working weeks at a time for him. Busting my a*s for an average of 12 hours a day in New Hampshire and Connecticut and Massachusetts.

A couple of months later, he bumped me to $150 a day. again, I didn't ask for the raise. I then talked to Dan, face to face, and informed him that I couldn't work weekends anymore because of my wife's job. He told me at that moment in time, that it would be ok. "or so i thought."

The last 7 days I worked for him was over a month ago. I was only paid for 6 days. The final two days I worked for him, I paid the gas bills for the van that we used to go to Massachusetts. With the gas bills, tolls, and the 1 day he didn't pay me, he owes me $390. Yes, it's not a lot, but it's a lot to me and my family. HE IS REFUSING TO PAY ME! He states, "the $200 he gave me the first few weeks I started and the extra $25 a day he was giving me, is more than enough to pay for that." Can you believe this s**t? What he GAVE me, that i never asked for, is paying for what I'm owed...........I just don't understand. He also has around $200 worth of tools that his one employee is stating that he has no time to drop off my stuff. I drove to them to drop off their supplies and table saw! They won't do the same for me.

ALL I WANT IS MY $390 THAT IS OWED TO ME DAN!!!

To make things worse......There was a point in time where Dan didn't call me, write me, or even try to get ahold of me to let me know if there was work or anything. What kind of owner treats his employees like this?

For two straight weeks, he told me that he didn't have the money to pay me and that he didn't know how he owed me that much money. what did I do? I emailed him my receipts for gas and my receipts for my ezpass! did this change his mind? nope. he still won't pay me.

I don't care how in debt he is, I don't care if his company goes under, I just don't care anymore. All I care about is my money he owes me that I will never ever see from him.

I could say a lot more about his employees, but I won't go there.

Daniel Cunningham is a man filled with open promises! He promised me a lot of things that I never saw come true!

I thought him and I were going to be doing business for a long time............what happened? LOL, ask him...he told me that he couldn't afford to have me working for him at $150 a day.

I will say though that I do agree with Robert on quite a few points, had to unload a shipment by myself after booking MLS labor and no show by them.Hilton Head SC 4,000 lbs with stairs and a long walk after Mr C assured me personally that they had a crew that could help.

Just the tip of the iceberg though.

No way you have done 7,000 plus moves at $100 a pop thats over $700,000 maybe you could pay me.
I know for a fact that you only do 200-300 moves a month , remember I did a marketing study on your company... oh wait that was unpaid also, along with the $$$ I spent on opt in e-mails, the $1,000 you and sis stole from me for a website that was never done, $5,000 in commissions.

Along with setting you up with a business broker to sell your business, the handymanstores marketing and software you took after investors paid almost $100,000 for it, I did not sign anything to dissolve this company, why would I when I have almost $40,000 in time invested for you in the project.

Let's see. oh the pricing I had to figure out for you for the company you were a consultant for because you knew nothing about the movers 400-N tariff. I know all I had to do was take it from my HHG tariff disc but still I spent about 10 hrs on your behalf for free.

Oh ahh business cards for MLS, artwork for Handyman stores, TV commercial only partially paid for, balance of $1856.
Unpaid cell phone bills of about $1400 on yours and handyman stores behalf.

$275 paid to my office help to try and clean up your database of movers.

Gave up after 6 pages as over 1/2 of the movers listed did not exist or the info was bad.
8 out of 10 times I booked movers thru your system I received no reply or a no show.
Only two moves actually went thru balance of $140 owed to me. Wait only one I had to call Ron to get a NC move covered, very happy with the outcome.

I now use another labor service provider out of CA and am very happy with them.

Same setup , pay $99 and they actually send a crew out. WOW
