This is a warning to all producers looking to make money leasing/selling beats through http://www.mybeatshop.com/. I have been a member of this site for over a year and I have had nothing but problems getting paid on time and being paid the correct amount owed to me. I have contacted tech support several times about these issues and I've received no response or a very limited response but no solutions. Initial contact was made with Jeff (Jeffason) Ortiz but I haven't been able to get a response from him since my original complaint.
I posted my disatisfaction of mybeatshop.coms dirty business practicesTitled (Verified Sales- Can't Knock the Hustle) in the user forum on the site and received 50 responses immediately of other producers that have encountered same issues with the site. Strangely enough, I was locked out of the user forum indefinately (cencorship) and my issues with mybeatshop.com became worse. Not only was I not paid for beats sold, when they did send me a payment,(sThree months late) it was incorrect.
I called the customer service hotline (800-339-1618) with hopes of resolving my issues with the site and encountered the worse customer service I have ever experienced. The customer service rep claimed she didn't know anything about sales, refused to give me a number to someone that could help me, said she would have someone call me but no one ever did, and kept asking me if I was a beat buyer when I told her several times I was a member. I asked for a managers number or extention whcih she refused to give me as well. (BULLS**T)
To date, I am still owed money and I have yet to talk to anyone about resolving issues at hand. I have since removed all of my music from mybeatshop.com and I'm no longer interested in doing business with their company/website. Producers BEWARE of this site.

I was a producer for mybeatshop.com and the same thing happened to me. Could not get a hold of anybody for my late payments. Finally when I recieved them they were incorrect. I got so tired of them I would just call at random times and cuss them out. I made their lives a living hell till I was fully paid what I deserved. And the sad about it was is that they make 20% off one beat I sell and considering that I sold $200 almost every month they lost out on me. Jeff Ortiz, kick me off the website and now its forbidden for me to even look at the website. Would not reccomend this site because you'll be better off working at mcdonalds with no pay. Sell your beats in person!!!!
