On December 15, 2009 I bought a Maltipoo from Mr. Joe Lozano 112 County Rd-4721 Castroville, TX 78009  I called Joe the next day to tell him about the puppy's diarrhea and poor appetite. He said she was most likely just nervous from trying to adjust to her new environment and to try wet food. We bought the wet food Joe reccomended and called him back when she continued to have diarrhea. He said it was from the wet food. I purchased a 2nd Maltipoo from Joe on 12/17. I thought that a second puppy would help the 1st one to thrive. They both went to the vet for the first time on that following Monday and the 1st puppy was diagnosed with giardia. The puppy receoved from the giardia infection but ended up having to have a tail amputation 2 weeks later because she wouldnt stop chewing her tail and it got infected.

The 2nd puppy had symptoms of cough early on. I called Joe and he said I most likely caused it by taking her out in the cold to go potty. Our vet diagnosed her with kennel cough. She was started on antiobitics to prevent secondary infections. The cough developed into pneumonia. The vet changed her to a stronger antibiotic but soon noticed neurological symptoms like stumbling and lethargy. Yesterday she started having a type of seizures vets refer to as "chewing gum seizures" which are indicative of Distemper. We ended up having to put her to sleep today because she started to have continuous seizures and the vet told us there was no hope of recovery. While researching distemper on the internet I found out that this breeder has an F rating by the BBB and has a history of selling sick dogs who require lots of medical care and often die. I learned my lesson from this heartbreak the hard way. It is important to research and buy puppies from reputable breeders and I am posting this complaint to try to prevent others from going through what I did. I called Joe on multiple occasions about the medical problems the puppy was having and he said to just bring her back and I could "pick from any of the other puppies".  I understand that these are living creatures and there is always a possibility of a puppy getting sick, or even dying but this Company has way too many complaints from customers with similar stories and they should not be allowed to continue this type of business.
