I originally contacted "my world of benefits" by the telephone number on their web site "WWW.myworldofbenifets.com" in September of 2003 in order to try to reestablish my credit. My credit rating had plummeted due to a 13 year marriage in which my ex-husband never reported any of my income in the business that he owned. The way the company worded their program, by letting them have access to my bank account for the payment to receive their credit restoration package I would be on my way to establishing positive credit in no time.

On October 15 they access my bank account, with my approval, for the $299 to start my credit restoration. Between October 15 and the middle of December I placed three or four telephone calls asking where my package was, and when I could expect it. Shortly after the middle of the month of December I received the package and read through it very closely. Shortly after Christmas I returned the package for what I believed would be a full refund. I waited until mid-January to hear from them, or better yet, receive my refund. Tired of waiting, I once again called them and they told me that my refund would be approximately $50. They stated that $200 of the original $299 was for the materials that they put together for me, and $49 was to initiate the program... leaving me with a refund of approximately $50. I told them that I would get back to them within a week with my decision.

It was the beginning of February when I placed a call to tell them that I had decided to go ahead with the program. I felt foolish, ripped off, and mentally and monetarily abused. However, if all I was going to receive as a refund was $50, I might as well try to get all that I could out of the materials that I had paid for. They assured me that I would receive my package within 10 business days, this was their answer every time I called them, from the beginning of September until the calls in February.

I received the package approximately five weeks after talking to them in February. After going through the packet again I had a number of questions that I needed answers for. It was my opinion that only the company could answer the specific questions. I tried to call numerous times during the month of March and into April, however the number had been disconnected.

No one should have to go through this type of mental, physical, emotional and monetary agony especially when every dollar counts toward rebuilding one of the most important things that define you in today's world, your credit...
