Background checks is the company's main services.  I was looking to find dates for my own past and so I knew that if I could find correct information about myself that the company would be legitimate.  So I bought the vip account which said they covered all costs and premium services, for up to 2 years, and that all reports would be paid for with the initial $42.00 (and change).  so I found that they had absolutly no information about me at all.  I asked for myself usina all my married names and my maiden name.  Nothing.  Then I was told that for 2.95 I could look a different way.  I paid the money thinking I could go back and correct their obvious mistake since in the beginning I had been told I would have all reports paid for with the original vip account.  Well, what really happened was they sent me to a completely different company which is now telling me I not only have to pay their 2.95 but in order to get the real report I must wait 48 hours and give them a large amount of personal information about myself to get a report, and another $80.00 is needed.  I backed out of the account, sent them requests for refunds since they had not provided me any services at all, but now I am being pretty much flooded with emails telling me that I had to read the fine print.  I am told by one of the second companies they are not affiliated with the first company and they do not provide refunds.  

this is out and out fraud.  I did finally get an approval to get a refund on the original company but the second company inteligator.com, that they do not refund money.  I am going to report these people to every reporting agency I can because they are thieves and I believe they are only collecting the information so they can steal my identity.  BE CAREFUL.  Fortunately I paid with paypal and they won't pay them because I stopped them in time, but I am having trouble because even thoughit has only been 24 hours I have received over 20 emails from these companies.
