I recently purchased an S.L.R performance chip... when i recieve the S.L.R. package, I opened it and realized it was not a computer chip but more of a resistor with two wires.. The package also contained some connectors, wire ties ,and a wiring instruction diagram..The diagram sent did not match my vehicle.. I tried to contact S.L.R per their instructions by emailing them.(for a week i sent email after email with NO response from SLR).I tried to find a phone number or address to contact SLR but none was listed. After failing to get a response from SLR for the correct wiring instructions i then sent an email demanding a refund Every SLR chip comes with a 60 day 100% Money back guarantee

So they got another one??

I guess you were unaware that these "chips" don't do a thing to help performance? So the fact that the diagram did not match your vehicle is
irrelevant. There is no such thing as a magic chip at any price that
does anything. Your vehicles ECM is already optimized at the factory to
allow your vehicle to run at it's peak performance and fuel
economy..otherwise they would use the chip..right? And that is not even considering this company is claiming a special chip programmed for your specific application..and all they ever send anyone is a basically a resistor in a box. Fraud.
You are not the first person to fall for this. And there are other
complaints about this company here on this site and all over the internet, I am
surprised you missed it. All the same complaint as yours basically.
Keep in mind that placing a resistor on anything or
tampering with sensors could damage your engine or systems at
worst..and do NOTHING at best. Regardless of the lies you read on their website.
I would lodge a complaint with the
FTC and let them know you were defrauded. I am actually surprised this
company is still in operation, they have been scamming people for some
time now. If this company gives you a refund just because you are
requesting it (assuming they even respond), it would be a small miracle.
A
word of advice as well. Almost any 100% money back guarantee is a sign
of a scam. Have you ever heard of one that actually gave money back?
Another factor is even if they were to work with you and communicate
with you..they would refuse to refund anyhow. They would tell you they
only honor the guarantee if you install it and use it for a while and
are unhappy with the results. (read the wording on their policy more closely, this is what they would tell you if you ever got to speak with them). Since you can't even install it and would
need a different diagram sent to you..well I think you get the idea. You
fell for their deceptive claims hook, line ,and sinker.
