X-treme Scooters - Alpha Products International ripoff misleading Denton iowa

We ordered two 47cc scooters from "bestscooterbuys.com" to give our two oldest children for Christmas. I opened the 1st box to discover a scooter laying in the bottom with minimal packing to secure it and various parts floating around. In addition no owners manual and lacking parts to fully attach the seat. And because of the terrible job of packing the scooter had major rear damage.

After opening the 2nd box it became obvious the 1st box also contained the wrong model(it was a 49cc). In the 2nd box the packing was a little better however, it lacked the proper packing to hold the scooter properly and as a result this scooter was also damaged....it also was missing parts and the gas tank was either the wrong one or they sent the wrong frame. I could not get it to attach and the owners manual did not even mention attaching the gas tank.


This all happened on the evening of the 21st(December). I opened a ticket as they reqyuired and also called the sales number the next morning. I was looking for answers to whether we could get this issue resolved or what options I had available. Unfortunately I did not get any response until after Chrsitmas from them and it was basically "cannot return the item and you need to work warranty process". I have a major issue with this since they did not deliver(period) except for two unusable scooters. When you buy something new you certainly dont expect to spend a bunch of time trying to rebuild. I could understand a missing a part here or there and some minor damage but this whole experience is screwed up!
I am currently trying to work through my credit card company but I am also going to make sure I get the word out. One thing I learned going forward is do more research on the company before ordering.
