XLHost.com Drew and Tania Rip Off - BEWARE OF USING THIS SERVICE - Columbus, Ohio

Registered with XLHost to have an email server. Was charged over $120 a month plus extras (about $180 total) with the intent of sending emails to our database of clients and prospects.

Also registered with seperate service to create the emails and insure they were 100% compliant with all CANSPAM laws.

Sent first email and received a notice from Drew that 1 person (out of 100k) had complained and we were on probation unless we paid $35. Sent an additional 9000 emails to a VERY SMALL portion of our list the next day and received notice from Tania that our account was blacklisted unless we paid them $35. No verification of a valid complaint, just a threatening letter with a request for more money.

Our list is 100% double opt-in. We have been using another server to the same list for years. We were trying to save a few dollars but didn't expect them to be a rip off where you have to continually pay more or get turned off. Also must say they never answer questions like, Who complained? How do you know it's valid?  Just a smart-a*s email with a "pay us or else" attitude. Tania kept saying she is in the ABUSE department and she was BLACKLISTING us.... Obviously someone who can be big and bad via email.

In my opinion, XLHost quotes a low rate but then nickle and dimes you to death. I think it's a complete RIP OFF.... After a week of service they shut us off but won't address a refund. I'm going to be forced to file a charge back with the CC company.

I believe they're in it strictly to suck you in and take your money while doing as little as possible. A little online research and you will see that you should ... Stay Away, use another service. XLHost at XLHost.com is a RIP OFF!
