On Friday, July 27, 2007, Fraud Squad officers arrested a man in connection with an investment fraud investigation.
It is alleged that:
' the accused offered investments in a company called XtraKare Corporation of America Inc.,
' he advised investors that the company would soon become public and generate huge profits,
' victims who invested were defrauded by amounts in excess of $160,000,
Salvatore Gualtieri, 48, of Mississauga, has been charged with three counts of Fraud Over $5,000, and two counts of Utter Forged Documents.
Police are seeking the assistance of any members of the public who may have information about this accused or his company.
He is scheduled to appear in courtroom 505 at College Park Courts, on April 8, 2008, at 10 a.m.
