Xubex Patient Assistance Program Prescription dosage altering rip-off Winter Park, Florida

Xubex seemed like a great company, providing a fine service to people with limited incomes who must take prescription medication.  I saw my doctor in order to obtain the prescriptions for two common generic drugs so I could take advantage of the savings.

When I received the medication, the dosage of one of the meds was one quarter of what the prescription requested.  I was given 20 mg instead of 80 mg.  Upon speaking with a Xubex representative, I was told that "Susan" from my doctor's office verified the dosage.  There is no Susan at my doctor's office, nor has there ever been in the six years I've been a patient there.

The rep also said that Xubex doesn't offer anything higher than 20 mg of this medication but I pointed out that I was on their website and was looking at the page showing a 40 mg dosage.  Her answer:  "Oh but that's at a different price." 

The medications were accompanied by a slip of paper stating that I'd overpaid and that of the $167.70 I sent, $63.85 is now on credit available to me.  I was told that since the error was my doctor's, there is nothing that Xubex can do to remedy this situation.  They can't accept the return and they can't refund my money.

I have requested, in writing, a resolution from Xubex.  I'm not sure where I can take this if I don't get the resolution I want (I want to return the incorrect medication and receive all the money back that is owed to me).  I will follow through on this, even if it's just to warn others about Xubex's apparent bait-and-methods.
