As a first time homebuyer, I trusted the people who worked with me to sell me my home. The realtor reccommended her father, Mark Yandow of Yandow Realty Group to rehabilitate and renovate my new home. She stated her dad had a crew that did all the construction rehabs on her dad's projects.

I met with Mark to review all the repairs and upgrades to my mobile home. He assured me that his crew was capable of doing an "amazing" job. The schedule was tight, as I had to be moved in within 3 weeks of the first day of work. He said all the work in the estimate he provided would take 3 days if that.

The crew did not adhere to the schedule, they installed tile in my bathroom that has to be ripped out, a back splash and counter top in my kitchen that is cut too short, screwed in crooked and the seam is also crooked on the counter top. The outlet above the counter top is cut down by a third, so that a cover is impossible to install. The back splash was installed with no spacers and the tile is all uneven.

The fence they were to repair had a 1 x 4 board laid over the top of the existing fence with nails hammered in partially. A fence post was shoved into a space that is too small, thus pushing out all the fence boards on a approximately 10 ft,. span.

When I voiced my concerns, I was told "What do I expect? This is a mobile home... Mark cursed about me in front of other contractors who were working at the home at the time he came to look at his crew's work. He did not answer calls for a week, and when he did, he told me I was being ridiculous!

I have had other contractors come in to look at the work, and it will cost me approximately $4,000.00 + to have the work redone!

I found out that his crew is not licensed, and when I brought this to his attention along with the costs to repair the damages, Mark Yandow decided that instead of demanding payment for his crews work, that he would say that he had nothing to do with it!!

Do Not do business with this scam artist! He has no integrity and is not willing to be responsible or reasonable when discussing anything. One of his children has threatened me.

I am a single parent with 2 kids under 10, and do not have the money to spend to repair all the damages that his crew did to my new home.

Mark Yandow has used his real estate brokers license to gain access to unsuspecting home buyers to exploit them by bringing home buyers into his confidence, and unleashing unproffesional, unlicensed workers to do the work of experienced contractors!

I am forced to take this to a higher authority, ie. Small Claims Court in hopes of getting justice, since this guy is a shark in a suit and has no intention of taking any responsiblity for his part in this nightmare!
