I went into the Yankee candle website and ordered online candles and deorderizers totalling over $50.00 with shipping. The items were order on the 17th of June as a birthday present for the 22nd. I experience a lot of problems with the web site which is very poorly designed. Evidently, deliberately. Several days after ordering, I checked the web site to see the status of the order. I could not find that an order had been place. ON the 22nd, I checked with my brother to see if he had received an order. He had not. Realizing that I had had problems with the website, I placed the order again. The following day, I checked the status and the status report did not list any activity by me as a customer for either the 17th or the 22nd. I telephoned the toll free number on the 23rd to inquire and I was told that I had placed an order on the 17th which was being processed and one on the 22nd. I advised the service rep of the problems I had encountered with the website and that it was currently indicating that I had not placed any order. I requested that the second order be cancelled. I was advised that it could not be cancelled because in had already been processed. In review, I placed an order on the 17th that had not been processed to the point that it showed up on the web site on the 22nd, yet I placed an order on the 22nd that was processed on the 23rd and still did not show up on the website. Neither order had arrived as of the 26th; however, both orders were displaying on the website as of the 26th. The first order placed finally arrived on the 27th. I wrote and email to yankee candle stating the problem and did not receive a reply. If you cannot live without Yankee Candles, buy them at a store; don't even think about using their website. It was a $100.00+ experience for me. Rather costly for a candle --- don't you think?
