5/28/14 RIP OFF: I had to call Dallas Police. At Holiday Inn (Addision Beltway) and asked the front desk to call cab (you should be able to trust front desk .. you cannot) The cab comes and the driver is not happy: I want to go to Amtrak (7 miles; $2/mi = $14 rght?) and he wants to do the DFW airport (why can't I fly?) (cuz). So he gets on a freeway and Googles ays he is going to the airport. I tell him I do not wan to go to airport .. AMTRAK. He is Ethiopian (no-speaka-ingles)(bu he is a good Christian he says). Unable to get AMTRAK. I say I want to get out of the cab. The meter says $22 (we've gone about 7 mile) and he wants $35 (but he cannot explain "no speaka-ingles"). So I call police but they will not come. I have no idea where I am or where AMTRAK is and he no speaka. His dispatcher agrees I should pay $35 (more is better). I keep calllng police.. finally the come. Meter says $22. Now he speak English pretty good. He wants $45 now for waiting time. PD says (meter says $22?) (he can add fast. just no speaka) I give PD $25 and they hand it to cab. No he wants MORE. No they say .. hit the road. DON't USE YEL:LOW CAB (it is literally highway robbery ..and it is legal) They don't have to care if you object. They leave you standed in a bad neighborhood with no idea where you are (or even where's a bus). So the police felt sorry for me (I guess) and took me to AMTRAK. Be careful of Yellow cab if you are a senior, female, alone, unfamiliar .. and be aware that Holiday Inn does not check them out before they call them.

Bring plenty of cash and enjoy being a victim. If you walk off without paying a cab driver the chagre is "Failed to Pay" (larceny) and YOU GO directy to jail (especially since you are from out of state). So you just go right ahead Stacy and let the cab driver take you to the airport the LONG way; his way .. where you get to see the entire area. THEN you be prepared to pay $200 or more! Because that's where it goes. Ethnicity? Yeah ewe are all sons and daughters of immigrants and we all know the ruse. Everybody's grandfather did it: no-speaka. From one end of Europe to another .. Polish, German, Italian, Greek, Lithuanian .. everybody has a no-speaka-English routine .. Ehiopian cab drivers have one too. How about that? Who'da ever thunk it? So you'd got for that huh? Fish.

You use 911 because the cab driver "no-speaka-ingles" - what does his ethnicity have to do with anything? Did you even stop to THINK that the Police have better things to do than listen to you whine and b**** about cab service?? How pathetic! Amtrak is nowhere near Addison! It is downtown at 400 South Houston Street Union Station Dallas, TX 75202!!!! Nowhere near Addison and I know because I live 3 miles from Addison!
The Addison/Dallas Police did not feel "sorry" for you - they just had to put up with your ignorance. Please never come back to my City again. PS what bad part of town are you speaking of because you were nowhere any bad part of town in Addison period.
