Yelp is an internet advertising review service that operates by extorting local businesses into spending money to get reviews and promises "leads" for advertising dollars but in actuality, they charge a lot of money for only getting "clicks." There is a huge difference between a click and a lead. After agreeing to purchase advertising in return for leads, my account was charged over $700 in a matter of a few days because of clicks, not leads. I never received one inquiry or any leads at all, from anyone. In addition, the account manager (salesperson) encouraged me to tell my past customers to write reviews on my business because that is what it is all about on yelp but when they did write them, yelp denied them and would not allow them to be published.
