Yelp, Inc YELP To publish my positive reviews & Remove false ad charges of $1,300 unauthorized San Francisco

Ongoing issue I have been experiencing with Yelp. My complaint involves unauthorized charges, lack of response from Yelp’s customer service, and problems with review posting.

Here are the details of the situation:

1. Activation and Charges:

• Approximately two years ago, I was offered a trial advertisement from Yelp with $150 in free credits for christmas. I agreed to this offer.
• Despite my attempts to cancel the trial ad when my budget approached $150, Yelp did not deactivate my account. The rep no longer worked there and i did not have a number for a direct rep. I repeatedly called and emailed Yelp requesting cancellation, but they failed to respond or take action.
• As a result, Yelp continued to charge my account, eventually accruing fees totaling approximately ~$700. I had to cancel my card through my bank to stop further charges.
• Dispute and Resolution:

• I filed several disputes with Yelp regarding these charges. Yelp responded only via email, stating that the charges were valid, but they did not offer a satisfactory resolution.
• Last month, I attempted to negotiate the resolution of this issue. Despite the charges not being my responsibility, Yelp informed me that to resolve the issue and resume advertising, I would need to pay ~$1,300. They did not provide any explanation for the increase in fees.
• Review Posting Problems:

• Additionally, Yelp has repeatedly removed my good reviews. I have attached screenshots and emails as proof of my attempts to cancel the service and my dissatisfaction with Yelp's handling of my account.  Yelp will not respond as to why they are taking my reviews down.

Request for Resolution:

• I would like Yelp to honor their advertised ad budget of $150, as initially agreed upon.
• I request a full review and reversal of the unauthorized charges.
• I seek resolution add my reviews and an explanation for the increase in fees.

I have attached all relevant documentation, including screenshots and emails, to support my complaint. I hope the BBB can assist in resolving this matter and ensuring that Yelp addresses these issues promptly.

  I recently worked with Glenn McDonald to appraise two inherited properties in Whitehaven, and I couldn't be more pleased with his service. The first property is a spacious home on a large lot with over 2,600 square feet, 4 (possibly 5) bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, and original flooring on the bottom floor. The second property, while distressed and in need of a full rehab, has great bones and sits on a huge lot.
  Mr. McDonald took the time to thoroughly assess both properties, providing a detailed and accurate appraisal that truly reflected their unique characteristics. His expertise, patience, and attention to detail were evident throughout the process. He communicated clearly and made sure I understood each step of the appraisal. I highly recommend Mr. Glenn McDonald for anyone looking for a professional and diligent appraiser who truly goes above and beyond.

  Glenn was great! He did everything he could to service me with selling a property in a small area that doesn't get much traction. He continuously communicated and sold my home in a reasonable timeframe. Great service!
