terview." I know not everyone is satisfied or happy with results so bad or negative opinions should be taken with a grain of salt. However, this review was dead on.
First of all, if you call back the "H.R." number, the mailbox is full. Interesting right? Second of all if you go to their website, you'll see no information about the company is present at all. There is nothing about what they do or contacting them, etc. If you click on any of the items, it takes you back to the home page. Shady right?
I decided to sit it out and give it a chance, even though the office looks like something that is a scam. It is home to 2 "companies," and looks like someone just set it up to have an office; although the company is supposedly well established.
The supposed president flashes around that he works with big companies doing marketing campaigns for them etc. Interesting right? But I smelled pyramid scam and brain washing.
Your "second interview" consists of shadowing a more senior employee. The concept is great. However, you can tell from the first few seconds of speaking with them that they have been cult washed into this idea that although they are working for commission and basically doing a sales job falsley advertised as a marketing job that they are working on being promoted from the bottom up. I worked for American Honda, which used the same concept. That concept worked well for them without brain washing.
When asked directly, "do you work off commission?" The employee answered, " I don't feel comfortable answering that question. You should ask the president." Hmm.. A trusted and proven company should have no shame in answering any questions honeslty and truthfully when asked. And while being interviewd by the proven employee I was asked to think like a manager and tell them why working off commission is better than salary or hourly pay... Interesting train of thought, right?
The "marketing campaign" I was shown was for AT & T just like the other review. The campaign consisted of classic door to door sales techniques for pushing customers into purchasing uverse from AT & T. A list was provided with preapproved or customers eligible for AT & T U verse but currently not using it. Sales techniques like closing and pushing, and give problems then solutions and active listening, and don't leave any silence, earn their trust were thrown out in front of me. And the experienced employee I was shadowing blantantly kept throwing out tips on how to close deals, earn people's trust, and when I asked why we were soliciting people who had no soliciting signs on their doors, she told me we're not because we aren't allowed to make people sign contracts or taking any money. That kind of answer may work on inexperienced people. I pointed out to the experienced employee that this is not marketing but sales. They had no answer except what seemed to be memorized answers to these kinds of questions. hm....
When they did manage to get someone to agree to an installation, even though it wasn't sales just marketing, when they called AT & T and were asked what company they worked for the employee did not answer Yorkston Oakmont but South Texas Credit... very interesting for a firm that is supposedly reputable and welll established, right?
Stay clear of these ads and interviews. Don't waste your time going because the job is straight commission sales not marketing. Also beware that they only want desparate people who can start immediately. I came across as disinterested with a lot of other job offers... I wasn't offered a third interview... interesting ...right?

I don't know what company you are referring to

I also went to Bulldog Industries for an interview. While waiting for the interview, I took the time to look up the company online and found out their website, their facebook page, their twitter page and 5 different positive reviews about this company. I sat down with Billy and had my first interview with him. I was treated with respect. I was shown the major companies that their contracts are held with including the United States Military! I was also invited back for a second interview where I followed a trainer around. Unlike your experience, all of my questions were answered honestly and quickly. I even went so far as to ask several of the other employees working there the same questions and got the same answers. The entire team treated their customers in a very courteous and professional manner. There was no door to door and nothing about AT&T. The company that I interviewed with worked at Ft. Sam Houston on the military base. They respectfully spoke with the military men and women about their windshields. They explained to the customers that they could get their windshields fixed at no cost with their insurance. When I inquired how this could be true, they explained that the insurance companies wave deductibles for windshield repair in most cases. I had the chance and opportunity to watch five different people come to their setup to have their windshield repaired. I listened to the insurance phone calls, with the customers approval, and heard the insurance company tell their customer that they wouldn't have to pay anything to have the repair done. The repairs were completed quickly and looked amazing!
Again, I don't know what company you are speaking of because the company of Bulldog Industries that I interviewed with was nothing like what you described. Their office was large and clean, their staff friendly and professional, their manager was polite and knowledgeable. I left feeling a great sense of calm and having the ability to make an informed decision about my possible employment with them. I did not accept the position offered at the time due to my health concerns though if I were younger, I would have worked for them with no qualms.
Thank you Bulldog Industries for taking the time to show me your business. I wish you only the best!
