  If they were self employeed they would have a business license in their own name. This is how you pay taxes, because the Irs has a record that you are making money. They would also be able to show a receipt of the costume to prove they bought it. So if they are self employeed, bought there own costume, Prove it. The city of new york does not need these people who can not see in these heads falling down on  kids , they don't need the head ache. These are not individuals but companies in my personal opinion who are trying to promote there birthday parties.  So more strangers could come into your home, with no paper trail.  All I am saying is Show me the paper !!!

The first clue would be that companies like Characters for hire llc,  who is Not listed in the corp search , says we have over 100 characters that work time square area.  I could not find them on the search. They also say that there costumes are fully licensed, why should we believe this, when the corp did not check out.Then there is others like Professinal kid entertainment,in manhattan doing all the trademark characters. New york needs to do there house cleaning and clean all this up.  There are several companies  doing trademark infrigement.   It appears that a lot of all these companies are under ground economy. Freedom of speech is a two way deal. People have the right to walk the street and not be harrased. The news paper did say the guy was a immigrant, the story made about 6  large papers.   They tryed to talk to others but they did not speak English.  You said why would they be out there working , because they are hidding behind masks.  There are mask laws in most states. There are employee laws also.  There are trademark laws. The trademark laws covers the image of the character also.  Characters  acting wrong and affecting the trademark has been well noted to the owners according to the paper, they are on it. I say this in good faith, all my freedom of speech opinion. New york  is aware of the big problems now. Many laws are being broken and that will change now.
