I ordered my 8 year old a box full of gifts from Young Explorers in time for Christmas. The company promises 1-2 for processing before shipping. It took 8 days to process and still hasn't arrived at my door (12.26) It has been "in shipping" since 12/18.

They use the slowest known to man shipping method called FedEx Smartpost. It is a critical mass shipping method which means that your package waits somewhere until it is sorted and then packed with enough stuff to come to your area. Go figure in this day and time when things arrive within 24 hours. Go figure a "toy company" chosing this method of shipping at a time when children are waiting! Funny thing, my credit card charge was processed within minutes! Their customer service people do not even understand the shipping and think it is tracked through the USPS when it is actually tracked through Fed Ex. They don't know because they don't care!!!

After 45 minutes on hold one day with no satisfaction from Young Explorers, then 65 minutes on hold the next day with no satisfaction, the company blames the warehouse in Michigan for the mess up, takes no responsibility for the slow shipping method and offers no apology. I have emailed their provided "help" address twice to no avail. The package remains sitting in Atlanta (since 12.22.07 it hasn't moved) iHave yet to hear from the so called toy company.

Try explaining to an 8 year old where her Christmas presents are! I ordered in time for Christmas according to their policy. They offer no shipping credit, no response whatsoever.

I will never order from them again and I will tell everyone I know who has kids or grandkids about it. I was afraid others would experience the same disappointment my daughter has experienced and from the looks of things I have found out, I see that I am right.

Shame on you, Young Explorers. You shouldn't be in business.

Hi,

We do not use Fed Ex, we use USPS as it is economical while having some kind of shipping speed.

Things that are shipped only arrive at your door in 24 hours ONLY if you use Overnight, there are no other forms of faster shipping, even First Class Envelopes take appox. 2 days to reach the recipient.

Why would we make an apology for the form of shipping you agree to, you do have a chance to request a faster form (for a reasonable fee of course) of shipping.

Keep in mind that we DO USE USPS which takes about 2-3 weeks (max of 21 days).

You should have told that 8 year old child that the packages wont come in time because you had neglected to account for shipping times and been irresponcible in not ordering RUSH or UPS 2nd Day Air.

How many Rip-Off reports do you see concerning this company? Out of THOSANDS of order a day I believe that is a good track record.
