Your Indie Mom Records Reign Studios Shady, Flaky and inappropriate. what a joke! Orem Utah

Wrong. The owner/producer Ammon Malone contacted me after finding some of my work online. He immediately wanted to sign me- claiming he had done major work on Colbie Caillet's album, that many of his indie artists were #1 on iTunes, etc. Naturally I was extremely skeptical and found another rip-off report that was filed. I made sure that the contract was solid and that there would be NO costs out of my pocket to get this going. Cool.

He immediately created a website for me (big deal since its not difficult to get a domain name and use wordpress like a pro.), and created a ReverbNation account. The contract was signed in Oct so we decided that a Christmas EP would be the way to go- record a bunch of covers and get them out while we work on original music.

I'd record the music at home through garage band and send him the tracks to mix through whatever algorithms he did, make his adjustments and then he'd upload them. He had requested that i record multiple vocal tracks on the songs so that he could pick and choose the things he needed. AS the deadline to submit to iTunes approached, we kicked it into high gear and he dropped the ball.

I was not able to review the finished songs before they were going out and had been pre-selling the albums from my website prior to the supposed Dec 1st iTunes release. When i finally received a copy of the songs i was apalled and embarrased. He had simply flattened the tracks with the multiple vocal recordings! WTF?!

Thankfully, he also dropped the ball on iTunes and it wasn't released. Apparently stealing a pic off of my facebook page wasn't high enough quality for iTunes (go figure) so the artwork couldn't be approved. You'd think someone with as much experience managing #1 Indy artists would have that figured out by now.

Then the inappropriate texts started.

Hitting on me, asking me for pictures.. sending pictures.. making wild offers with money he clearly doesn't have etc. When i wouldn't comply, he'd flip out and threaten to cancel the contract- Go right ahead!

Overall- unless your DREAM is to have low quality production (all of which are mono ps), half assed support and d**k pics sent in the middle of the night, I'd stay far away from Mr. Malone.

Last i heard as we finalized termination of the contract was that "Big things were coming" with an investor out of St. George, the studio was relocating south and changing its name to Reign Studios.

As always, we wish the producer and his affiliates luck in their future endeavors, I for one, wont give the benefit of doubt to him again!
