Here's my story.

On September 4th I went craigslist to find a job, and found an ad placed by a man claiming to be Jon Lewis. http://austin.craigslist.org/gov/1339084487.html, he directed me to a blog that showed how he made money. http://jonlewisblog.com/ I went to this blog, and clicked on a link which took me to Yourprofitgateway.com.

So on September 4th I went to http://YourProfitGateway.com, after seeing a blog saying you could make money from home with GOogle Adsense. He recommended getting the Google Adsense Kit, which I signed up for via this website. My credit card was charged $1.95 for a 7 day trial period.

On September 8th I then got a phonecall from 757-201-9026, someone claiming to be part of my "success team," and to be with Google, saying they would also sign me up for a free trial on Amazon.com and Click Sell Go. I said ok, then they said they would connect me with a "financial advisor." They connected me with someone who told me his name was Josh, and then told me his name was Jason. He said he was going to give me a test, to see if I could live up to "the Five Expectations" of "Time, Knowledge, Investment, and Decisionmaking" After I "passed" his "test," he told me his supervisor would call me. Well, they connected me with someone named Craig, who later told me his name was Clay Taylor. So Mr. Clay Taylor who said he was not affiliated with them, but he HAD MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER and kept saying my name, and wanted me to sign up for a Ebay selling business. He said he was from ExpertFocusTeam.com, he said his phone number is 1-800-405-8582 x110, apparently he is in Utah, but I think his cellphone number is 801-542-8589, that's the number he called me from.

He said, visit our website, and it had NO information on it on how they make their money, and I wanted more information, and he talked me through on the phone how ebay selling and dropshipping works, and I requested more paper information, and he wouldn't give it to me. He said I could give them money from my credit card limit.

After talking with him for over an hour, I got upset that he kept trying to hard sell me on this program, and insisting that I had to sign up RIGHT NOW. So I said, no, I need to think about it, and he withdrew his offer and hung up. Before he hung up, I asked him where he had gotten my info, if he wasn't affiliated with Click Sell Go or YourProfitGateway, and he said "Call this number, this is google" and it was 1-866-311-7023, and it turned out that was NOT google, it was "Money Mastery" and I spoke with someone named Kayson at extension 240. He didn't know who any of these other companies were. He recommended that I cancel my credit card.

Then I realized that it was not okay that 3 third parties suddenly had my credit card information. So I called the number on YourProfitGateway.com, and it was 1-800-497-4988. A person in India answered. Then I couldn't understand her accent so I hung up and called back. Someone else from the same call center in India answered. I asked to speak with his manager, and said that it is not okay that you gave my credit card information to these other companies! He said, I can't control who gets your information, you can't speak to the manager, or his manager, they are all in a meeting. Then I said, ok, look, just CANCEL my trial period. He said that he did it, but who knows?

The first phone number the woman had given me, 866-993-1473, was the same company, which I found was "Profit Studio Learning" which I did not know was affiliated with YourProfitGateway.com. I told them to cancel my account and do not charge me anymore! Apparently this was done. I got a refund email notice in my email box.

Then I called the second phone number, and it was "Click Sell Go" 1-800-353-4581, and I told them I wasn't interested in whatever they had me signed up for, and to take my name off of their list IMMEDIATELY. They said that they did, and gave me a confirmation number.

Then I called my bank (I had used my debit card) and told them to change my debit card number immediately and send me a new card. They promised to do so. I will be watching my next statement very carefully, believe me!

Update to the further scam by Expert Focus Team.

AUTHOR: Shaniquia - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 09, 2009

Sept 9th.
I was truly upset by the call I received from Expert Focus Team yesterday. "Mr Clay Taylor," the person I talked with, who was such a complete jerk, whom I trusted with telling my financial situation, then turned and tried to emotionally manipulate me by using what I told him against me. It took me all day to get over it.

Now, because of this report, Expert Focus Team is continuing to harass me and call me at home. Today I got a call from someone named Jim Cochran. He said his number is 1-800-405-8582 x1026. I have had enough of this harassment. Someone needs to stop these people.
