We purchased our business in very late December, a few short weeks later Ypedia.com sent our company a letter posing to be a real company asking us to verify our address.  No where on the letter did it have any kind of contract statement, monetary obligation, etc.  It simply asked us to verify our address to make sure it was correct.  All that was required was a signature.  We signed in a hurry and sent it back.

After a couple wekks passed we started receiving calls telling us that we now owed them $361.94 for sending them the letter back and to use their services.  We told them we were not paying that, and that we did not agree to any kind of monetary obligation.  The man I talked to was very rude and threatened us with legal action.  I promptly told him that the next time I hear from his company it should be a lawyer.  I then proceeded to call the nmber back that showed up on our caller ID and it went to a Medical Billing company.  I asked if they ahd ever heard of the man I had spoke with and explained my situation.  The lady I talked with on the phone told me her company did not do that and was very apologetic that this was happeneing.

Fast forward 3 more weeks, and we receive another letter in the mail giving us a copy of the original letter and signature.  On this letter it clearly states there is no monetary obligation and the company does not even work directly with Yellow Pages (although they were using a very similar logo).  We ignored this idle threat and moved on our way.  Today (May 8, 2015) we received another call.  This time from a man going by the name Jason Sanford, saying he works for "Davis and Jones Collection Agency" (yet another fake company).  I asked him to give me a contact number and physical address for the company he worked for, as well as a number (855-836-8914), again a fake number.  Upon looking it up and doing research, there is no company in Fort Worth by that name, nor at the address (which is a completely different company, and doesn't even have a suite number that I was given).  I told "Jason" that I was not going to pay for this, and that this was all a scam.  He asked me what exactly was a scam, then asked again if I was going to pay.  I told him...No.  This is a scam and beware for all the companies out there hat may be going through this same problem.  Hopefully a bigger agency can get involved and take this company down.
