ZeroPlus Dialing NCIC ripoff: Collect Call Scam Nationwide

My telephone carrier is Verizon. I recently received a bill showing a third party charge fron an outfit called NCIC was billing thru a Zero Plus Dialing Inc. The amount was $26.10 for an alleged 5.0 minute collect call from Puerto Rico. The absurdity or the charge is not an issue since no such call was accepted by me or anyone else! Indeed no one was even physically at the location of the phone on the day in question!!

I called Verizon who refered me to Zero Plus who passed me on to NCIC who was not interested in the facts and stated that since the charge showed on their records they would not remove it.

I advised Verizon that I would not pay the charge. They were most helpful and stated that it would be removed from my next bill (however they advised that Zero Plus might still bring a collection action). I would welcome this since it would give me the opportunity of highlighting the fraudulent practices of NCIC.

I advise others who are stung by this scam not to even bother contacting NCIC of Zero Plus but to just advise their phone carrier that they are refusing to pay. While the scammers might send a collection letter I do not believe that it will ever go any further
