I met representatives from ZipLocal at a small business expo. They asked for my name, email and contact information to recieve more info about the company. Several monthly later I recieved a call stating that I was due to pay almost $100 and I had missed two monthy. After calling to dispute this claim, they sent me a copy of the "Contract" with a bogus signature.

When I sent them a copy of my actual signature, they said that it looked "similar" despite the fact that it was completely different. They explained it as: when you sign on a tablet sometimes the signatures look different. After multiple calls and being told that they would not fix this problem, the last thing they asked me was whether I still wanted the service. Clearly they are more interested in making money then providing good customer service and dispute resolution. I would not reccommend this company. It doesn't matter if the product is good or bad, but if something goes wrong they will make no effort to make customer or potential customer happy in any way.

From what I can see from other ripoff reports, poor conflict resolution is a theme in this company. Avoid at all costs.

Company's Response and Resolution Info

AUTHOR: Stacy - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, June 27, 2016

We were in the process of researching the account after this business contacted us, and we have processed a cancellation and adjustment as a result of the misunderstanding that occurred. Our records show that we received a signed contract and that our Videographer made multiple attempts to contact this business to provide the video service.  We show that the complainant contacted us and indicated that he thought he was signing for more information and there was no obligation. Due to the misunderstanding, we have come to the mentioned agreement and resolution on this account.  We appreciate the positive comments that were posted regarding our resolution.

Thank you,

Stacy C.

ZipLocal Solved the Issue

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Thursday, June 23, 2016

After several days I recieved a call back from the customer service. They apologised for the inconvinience that this has been and had offered to take care of this issue. They were very amicable and solved the issue very well. Although my original experience was not great, I will now still consider using ZipLocal to solve my business needs. Thank you ZipLocal and thank you Sam at ZipLocal for getting this taken care of.
