I made an order from zooscape about 2 months ago, after we made the order they required photos of the creditcard including at note were we authorize the to withdraw money from our card! Since we are nervous people here in Sweden we said that we didnt want to do that so they would refund our money and it would take between 5-21 buisiness days. I have sent them 6 emails asking them why a refund should take so long time since I have some webshops myself I know that I can do a refund in about 10 minutes and the money are back at the customers creditcard at once. I also tried calling them but there is no answer and I have asked the to call back, but they are not responding neither by mail or phone, they sent me an email 26:th of oktober and told me about the refund but I havent seen any money yet But there is still some days left! But at least they could respond to me!

When I do a chargeback

AUTHOR: Mathias - (Sweden)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 08, 2005

When I do a chargeback to someones creditcard the money show up after about 10 minutes on that persons bankaccount, but perhaps there are different rules in other countries. But I thought that according to the international banklaw a transfer must not take more than 5 days. But Ill update this and see if my money comes back!

ZooScape.com Customer Service Response

AUTHOR: Jennifer - (Canada)

POSTED: Monday, November 07, 2005

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Egarth,
Thank you very much for placing your order with ZooScape.com. I must first offer my most sincere apology for any difficulty or confusion that may have occurred with your order and I will do my very best to clear up any misunderstanding that has occurred.
Over the years, ZooScape.com has had to take many precautions to protect both you, the credit card holder, and ourselves from any fraudulent activity. This is certainly not to say in any way, that your order was fraudulent, however, due to the high dollar amount this order was for, there are certain measures that must be followed by various members of our staff in order for the transaction to be processed in its' entirety.
I have read and reviewed, in detail, all of the comments in our files and found that one of our representatives did contact you on September 12th, 2005 (the day after you placed your order) and requested that you fax to us a copy of your credit card and a short letter stating that the charges were authorized. As of September 20th, 2005, we had yet to receive that information so we contacted you again to ask if you could please send it to us. On September 23rd, 2005 we did receive a copy of the front of your credit card only. However, we do require a copy of the back so that we can verify the signature and ensure that you do, in fact, have access to the physical card itself. We did email you on the same date to make a request for the rest of the information. As of September 29th, 2005, we still had not received it, so we contacted you by telephone at which time you did state that you would send us all of the documentation we had requested the following day. On October 18th, 2005 we still had not received it so we called you and left you a voice message. On October 24th, 2005 when we still had not heard from you, one of our representatives emailed you to remind you of the information we required. It was not until October 26th, 2005 that you decided to change your mind and not provide us with any further information. Unfortunately, as it was a requirement we had no other choice but to offer start the process of refunding the credit card used to place the order.
I am able to confirm that we have processed the refund to the MasterCard used to pay for this transaction. Once we have processed it on our end, it does take anywhere from 7 to 30 business days for it appear on your credit card statement as it does have to go through the channels of the credit card authorization company, the company that has issued your credit card and finally, your financial institution. You should have received, by email, a receipt for the refund that does have a reference number on it for your records. If you have not received that receipt, please feel free to email us at help@zooscape.com and we will resend it to you right away.
Again, I do apologize for any confusion or misunderstanding and do hope that you can appreciate that all of the action we have taken is our way of providing our customers with the highest level of customer service, as is always expected from ZooScape.com.
Sincerely,
Jennifer
