I got my telephone bill (which comes from Verizon) today and noticed a rather large amount that I owed. Much to my surprise, there was $120.39 billed to my Internet/computer only telephone line for 4 seperate Operated assisted calls to Sweden.
I tried calling both the ZPDI number and Opticom number and of course, no one is available on the weekends. I am going to send this information to the WA State Attorney General's Office and will be contacting a Seattle television station that has a comsumer investigator.
Was very surprised to see the complaints already listed about these two companies. I am not going to pay the bill and hope to get to the bottom of this. Sounds like that may not be likely though.
Will also be contacting Verizon to find out why someone was allowed to place calls on a computer only line.
