This a ridiculous problem with HABAND. I should note here I have done business with this company in the past, with out problems, though I don't think the order reached " $149.00" with my debit card. That's where the problem complaint lies. Haband DOES have some nice clothing and clothing made in ways other companies don't make it.
On 3-3-09 I made a ON-LINE order with Haband for $260.00 and got a "CONFIRMATION NUMBER"
After not receiving it a week later, I called and spoke to "VICKY T" the On-line order account "specialist" ? (I doubt that) She indicated I needed to contact my bank to verify my debit card. I thought Whaaaa ? it sounded crazy.
She indicated she did try to do this and my bank wouldn't cooperate. I then called my bank and they said they don't give out account information
(THANK GOD) without the customers permission. So I called "Vicky" back and told her. She said that she was going to try again I the told the bank it was ok for the name, address, account to be verified. HABAND would have to indicate the debit number they had and that the bank did not give that out. She said she would attempt this again.
3-25-09 after NOT receiving my 3-3-09 Order I sent off an email of inquiry.
3-27-09 I decided to reorder again modifying the order some. This time the order approx $194.00
3-27-09 I received an email from "Vicky" indicating she tried to contact my bank to verify my order AGAIN ! She said the lady there that did the verification was on vacation and that no one elese at the bank could do it. I couldn't believe my ears ! Someone from a Bank goes on vacation and no one is able to do their job ? ! I called my bank and the lady verified that someone was there to do the vacationed person's job. I called Vicky back, we discussed this more. She THEN....INDICATED HABAND'S regulations SAY they MUST verify debit cards with ORDERS OVER $149.00 how crazy does this sound ??!!!!!! They HOLD UP EVERY ORDER WITH A ON-LINE DEBIT CARD THAT HASN'T BEEN "VERIFIED" ??? WHAT !!!! FOR CLOTHES ???
I asked to speak to HER supervisor, On comes "STEVEN" WHO basically says the same thing. Almost like he was reading from a card.
I felt that while I was on hold waiting for "Steven" they plotted course, "Vicky" had to tell "Steven" what the problem was. Yeah Right.
He reiterated what Vicky had said. I told them if they need to verify orders like this they should use "PAYPAL" or some company like them. That's THEIR job. He only kept saying we don't use PAYPAL. Like a stuck CD. I then said what if I send a check. He said when they received it, they would print my order and ship it. I hung up.
I Called my bank, and spoke with them for further information. I then called back and asked to speak to VICKY. When the call was answered "STEVEN" came on and said "YES MR P....." I said I ASKED FOR VICKY. He said she was on the another line with another customer. Yeah Right I replied. I informed him of the information my bank told me and that if they could do a conference call, with the 3 of us, my bank would solve the problem. HE REFUSED. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO his supervisor.
After a few minutes, them briefing and plotting,(I know how it works I worked in customer svc also) "MARY" comes to the phone and I asked her position, she said customer service, I said I thought that's what the others were doing. She replied she was the "Center Supervisor" (who's working, sounds like they have a lot of supervisors/managers in ONE AREA !) she basically read me the same line, like it was a script. This COMPANY IS WORRIED ABOUT VERIFYING MY DEBIT CARD for $!49.00 IN CLOTHES.
I'm not talking about investing in GOLD OR PLATINUM, I'm talking clothes over $149.00 which is not hard to do these days. Is this ridiculous or what ?!! Are we not in the 21st CENTURY ?! IS THIS NOT 2009 ?! IS NOT THE INTERNET RETAILING A MAJOR PART OF BUSINESS TODAY ?! WHAT THESE PEOPLE ARE DOING DOES NOT MAKE THINGS EASIER, BENEFICIAL, OR PROFITABLE FOR THE COMPANY.
I have a hard time, to believe that HABAND says verify EVERY SINGLE debit card order over $149.00. Do they or anyone else realize how much business time would be wasted and how many personnel it would take to do this. I'm sorry,....over gold, or something very valuable like a thousand dollar TV or something maybe. But CLOTHES ?! and only $149.00 that's not an awful lot.
I strongly feel that I was treated very badly on all occasions, and not one of the managerial people - who should be facility maintainers(Janitors) - were willing to make compromise or make suggestions. Like they couldn't think for themselves.
What kind of manager is that ?!!! What happened to "satisfying the Customer" Make a suggestion HABAND, TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS, don't put people like "VICKY", "STEVEN", AND "MARY" on the phone treating customers like "dumb asses". It's obvious by THEIR actions they are the D.A.'s HABAND ARE U LISTENING....CAN U READ THIS....THIS IS WRONG....DEAD WRONG....What do U want me to do take my order of $200.00 and cut it in half and order twice so it stays below your threshold of "$149.00" So then you can make more money off of shipping. Is that your rationale ? YOU OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES ! ! !

retrieve the very number you sent me as acknowledgement.
One of the other times you said the bank wouldn't "verify" my debit card.
What ? I on-line order ALL the time, they don't ask for verification....can u imagine if everyone did that ?
on-line ordering wouldn't be worth the time.
You have items I can't get or find elsewhere. But if YOU
can't get your act together, ADIOS...HOMBRES.
I did file a report/complaint with the Better Bus Bur On-Line as of today 4-13-09 I have not heard of a response, other than who's handling it.
