Charter Communications Spectrum, Time Warner Cable Misleading Advertising for their TV Choice Streaming Service St. George UT

TV Choice, a recent entrant into the streaming TV space by Spectrum (formerly Time Warner Cable), solicited by direct mail for its TV Choice service. 

I received my promotional package on March 2, 2018. It offered up to 10 channels e.g., CNN, Fox, USA, HGTV; and local broadcast channels; etc.

Its offer for a risk-free, 30-day Money-back guarantee did not expressly state that once the 10 channels were selected, they were locked in for the duration of the 2-yr. pricing. No change would be allowed.

Had I known it was limited, I might have tossed the offer in the trash bin, or, taken more time with my selection--4 of which I now want to change.

I spoke to upper management on the telephone today and the representative fed me the standard line, "you're one of millions of subscribers and you won't like what I'm about to tell you." In short, no change is permitted for 2 years.

It is laughable that Spectrum identifies my Internet connection with an IP address, they identify my account with my Social Security number and they bill be at my address yet, they can not modidy one subscribers channel lineup given they have the digital technology to stream and trouble shoot down to a single customer. Really?

I urged management to clarify their TV Choice offer to include a clear notice that once a channel lineup has been made, it will be frozen in a block of ice for the entire length of the offer, in my case:  2 years.

Apparently "Truth in Advertising" does not exist at Spectrum and its parent company.

I read the fine print and it's not fine for an unsuspecting public trying to cut the cable!
