I was a customer with Charter Communications. I switched to satellite and did not like it. I ordered with Charter, got my order number and called to sign up for installation. Now I am told that I can not sign up for service. Representative states there is history at the address that I live. Trying to make me pay for someone else. Big, big, ripoff!!!

Right on schedule...

AUTHOR: Robert - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, December 27, 2015

As is standard operating procedure when someone doesn't like what is being said, instead of actually answering the questions they come up with the "You must work for them", or "What business is this of yours"..and you did both.

So first off, sorry to burst your bubble but I do not now or have I ever worked for this or any other Cable company.  Also, you posted to a PUBLIC web site.  Meaning that the public may post, and contrary to what you want to think, the public may not always agree with you.

Your story makes no sense, as you still failed to mention anything about moving.  If you didn't move, just how long have you lived there?  You failed to mention what they are trying to make you responsible for.  Do they want you to just pay a deposit, is there a back balance?  Did someone else in your household have an account with them?  Were you ever late?

Who are you Robert and what business is it of yours?

I can not help who lived here before me. It makes me think that I am being blamed for the other person's bill. I am not going to pay for someone else's bill. If I can not get this resolved, I will have to take other action. Robert, do you work for Charter?

What are you leaving out..

Based on your report you state that you switched to Satellite.  You also stated you didn't like it and wanted to switch back to Charter.  Now, you say that Charter won't allow you to get it because of a history with "someone" at the address.

There was no mention of you moving, so wouldn't this person they have a history with be you?   You also failed to mention what this "history" is?  Do they want a deposit?  Do they want you to pay a delinquent balance?

This makes us wonder if perhaps you didn't leave them the first time by choice.
