As a former customer of Credo Mobile, I have been a victim of:

1- False advertisement: What Credo Mobile claims about itself is untrue! Supporting progressive causes is mainly a PR and marketing campaign to lure consumers like me to favor them. While they trash AT&T and Verizon for supporting and financing the GOP and Tea Party extreme politicians, they too use Sprint as their carrier. According to political contribution records, Sprint donates more money to GOP and Tea Party than AT&T and Verizon. Their brochures and anti AT&T and Verizon marketing brochures, do not disclose anything about Sprint and Credo Mobiles relationship with it. Furthermore, their contribution to progressive causes is less than 1%, most of which is paid for by customers as extra. They are making customers pay for their advertising.

2- Misleading Advertisement: When I spoke on the phone with Credo Mobile sales person and asked about coverage in my area (Milwaukee-WI), he assured me that the signal is strong and I should not have any problem. Credo Mobile website makes the same claims. However, he did not disclose to me that Sprint is their carrier. If I would have been told this crucial information, I would have never signed with them. I used to be a Sprint customer and it was a total disappointment. I had problems many problems with Sprint. Thats why I dropped them.

3- Unfair Business Practices: Credo Mobile has been gauging me on a monthly basis. They used dishonest tactics to boost our family plan minutes to force me pay extra per minutes. They use this type of tactic to force customers pay for the maximum monthly plan minutes. In other words, they want to make sure that they get paid for more than what a customer consumes. Unlike most of other providers, they dont give credit for unused minutes.

4- Deceptive Business Practices: Although Credo Mobiles service agreement states that new customers have a 30 days trial/grace period, they actually use deceptive tactics to make new and unsatisfied customers pass that grace period and therefore become subject to the full terms of the agreement, including inability to opt out anymore. I was dragged for more than a year by their customer service. I admit they have well trained staff who knows how to appease an unsatisfied or even angry customers. They are good at convincing customers that they will fix their technical problem soon. One of their other tactics is to make the customer work for them. For instance, they asked me to report to them all the call that I missed and city areas where there is weak signal or no coverage. They wanted me to do their job for them. They use this kind of tactic to simply intimidate and discourage customers from calling and complaining and keep paying for a service they dont receive.

5- Marketing and selling defective and cheap devices: The Sanyo Zio that Credo Mobile provided is one of the worst smart phones in the market. It has many defects to the point it regularly frustrated me. One of its top defects has to do with screen calibration. Typing a text, such as an email address takes minutes. The output often doesnt reflect the input. The user has to try several times to correctly enter a word. I returned the first one after their own customer service failed to correct any of the issues Ive been having since day one. The second device wasnt any better. FYI, even those online cellphone recycling and refurbishing service providers do not accept the Sanyo Zio. My familys other Sanyo cellphones are not any better. They are poorly designed and have many flaws. When it comes to signal, it was constantly poor and sometime was not available at all. The internet connection was even worst. It was down most of the time and when available it was too slow.

Credo Mobil is not a genuine mobile phone company. It is a scam that targets a specific population, people who tend to lean toward progressive causes. They know how to lure them with the right kind of rhetoric, win their trust and then prey on them by selling them a worthless mobile phone service and devices at expensive price and a contract full of traps, carefully and deceitfully crafted to exploit loopholes in the system, evade responsibility and put the blame on the consumer. My experience with Credo Mobile has been a nightmare. Its the worst company I had to deal with ever. They are deceitful and viscious. When I tried to solve the issue with them friendly, they refused to give me any chance. They bullied and blackmailed me. When I refused to pay and filed a complainte to the consumer bureau in my state of wisconsin, they turned my case to a collection agency. I repeat again, Credo Mobile doesn't give a d**n about its customers. Credo Mobile is a scam disquised as a legitimate business.
