Innovative Merchant Solutions Charging for Credit Card Processing that never was authorized Calabasas California

A sales person came to our shop and pitched that he could get us a better deal on credit card processing. He promised to look at what we pay now and compare and send us an email with the rates that we would be able to get through Innovative Merchant Solutions. He assured us that nothing would get changed or anything be deducted until we got the email, were able to review it and then let him know if we wanted to change or not. We got the phone call and again were assured that nothing would change and nothing would be charged to our account until we gave the go ahead. Never got the email, can't get the sales person to call us back and the people from the company kept calling and wanting to program our credit card machine.

We left messages but didn't get anywhere with anyone. Just rude and nasty people. Our credit card processing machine was never programed, we never gave the approval because we were never given a quote on the cost - but the did take $12.95 out of our checking account and when we contacted them they said fine cancel - but there is a $295.00 cancelation fee. We never started anything so how can there be a cancelation fee? The sales guy and the person on the phone said there was not cancelation fee even if we did activate the account. I stopped the check through the bank and put a flag on the account so that they could not steal any more of our money. We are now getting letters saying that we owe them $310.00. Beware - they are crooks!

Unfortunately this individual has not provided enough information to comment on this specific case. However, the Merchant Agreement is very clear in stating to not sign the contract unless you are applying for new credit card processing, explaining the Termination Fee, and the transactions fees the merchant could have compaired with his current fees.

Without specific information about the account it is impossible to comment directly on this case though.
